Although this is horrible documentation, this is a Christmas tree ornament I made that plays a cycle of three different christmas songs that play through a small speaker on the back, with led lights on the front that flicker and light up in a random order.
Next I made a voice Changer. I used a paper octahedron from a technical project at the beginning of 3D1 and reopened it to put in the electronics. I cut out a hole big enough for the speaker on one of the faces.
On another face I poked a hole small enough for the wiring from the circuit board to lead to a small microphone on the outside.
The voice changer has 5 different settings for audio distortion. You can change them by pressing the different buttons on the circuit board inside the octahedron. The audio did not come out as clear as I would have liked, but for it being one of my first electronic projects, I'm fairly happy with it.
The last thing that I made was a little car that is sound activated. I used a wooden base that I painted a design on consisting of the usual monsters and such.
I used a typical VCR motor to make it go,
and I added a mic to the front to pick up audio signals. At the sound of a clap, the cars motor will turn in the opposite direction making the car go backwards and pull the front wheel to the side to make it turn. It then goes forwards again in a slightly different direction.
